The Ranger is nicely trimmed, measuring 11 inches longer than the Maverick, and 5 inches wider. The 2022 Ford Maverick and current Ranger are not especially small cars, but both pickups are far more compact than the full-size trucks, which are seemingly getting bigger. The 2022 Ford Maverick is the only smaller truck in the Ford lineup, while the 2022 Ford Ranger is another smaller truck offering plenty of options. The 68.7-inch height also puts Ford Mavericks within two inches of the current Ranger SuperCab 4×2, and makes it 4.4 inches taller than the short-bed 90 Ranger XLT 4WD. When it comes to other dimensions, Hondas Ridgeline beats both Mavericks and Ranger, boasting far more shoulder room, with 62 inches up front. From behind the seat The 2022 compact pickup, Maverick, is almost one-foot shorter overall than Fords next-largest truck, some of that difference being attributed to its smaller cargo bed, about one-half-foot shorter.
Even with the smaller footprint of the 2022 Maverick compact pickup, the rear seat area in the Maverick is actually a little more comfortable than in the Ranger. From the Drivers Seat The entry into the 2022 Ford Maverick is noticeably different from that of Fords next-largest truck; you have to lean slightly over to reach its drivers seat, whereas the current Ranger drivers seat is a substantial leap. This makes for a difference in seating positions, where the compact 2022 Maverick truck looks more like a compact SUV, while Fords taller seating position in its next-largest truck feels more truck-like. Its larger sibling is around 211 inches long, a full 21 inches shorter than an F-150, and roughly the length of some of the biggest SUVs on the road, such as a Cadillac Escalade or Lincoln Navigator.
